This simple homemade dog food recipe is easy to prepare and is a delicious way to incorporate specific supplements into their diet. Our pack loves it!

The base of this recipe consists of just 5 main ingredients.

Quinoa
Oats/Barley
Carrots
Kale
Ground beef or chicken

Simply add all the ingredients to your slow cooker or Instant Pot, fill with water to the designated fill line, and set the timer.

I like to buy organic quinoa and oats in bulk to always have them on hand. I also buy triple the amount of carrots and kale needed for the recipe, process all of the vegetables in a food processor, and then freeze the additional two portions. That way, when I start to run low on homemade food, all I have to do is pull the vegetables from the freezer and place them directly in the Instant Pot, making it even easier to make the next time.

Once the base is cooked, add your go-to supplements based on your pet’s needs.

Check out their amazing benefits and consider adding one or more to your pet’s diet.

After your first batch, you’ll get a feel for what works best. Feel free to adjust the recipe for desired consistency, dietary requirements, and preferences. Please note, this is not to be considered a nutritionally balanced meal replacement. Be sure to consult with your veterinarian or a professional dietician before making major changes to your pet’s diet.

And, the one thing we are sure to never be without is natural CBD oil!

Tips:
Prepare extra carrots and kale in a food processor and freeze to make the next batch even easier.

The gelatin powder is especially good for the additional collagen and creates a much thicker consistency, making it a delicious and nutritious addition to their meal.

And always, go ORGANIC when you can.
