From birthdays to gotcha-days, or a special weekend treat, my pack drools over this simple and delicious Salmon & Sardine Cake. I’ve experimented with a variety of different techniques and ingredients, but this one is my favorite.
Also, I recently purchased a Paw Print Cake Pan which I think is absolutely fitting. This pan is equivalent to a traditional sheet pan sized at 11x9x2 inches.
HELPFUL TIPS:
- Frost the cake with natural peanut butter, plain yogurt, or create your own healthy frosting recipe!
- Double the recipe to make a cake and cupcakes to freeze for special treats.
- Add your favorite supplements tailored to your pets’ needs. We like to add ground flaxseed, nutritional yeast, chia seeds, and/or CBD oil.

Salmon & Sardine Cake for Pets
Ingredients
- 2 cups coconut flour
- 1 can salmon
- 2 cans sardines
- 2 whole eggs
- 1 cup natural apple sauce
- CBD oil optional
Instructions
- Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add water as needed for desired consistency.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely.
- Frost with peanut butter, yogurt, or pet-friendly frosting.
- Spoil your best friend!
